Blaine GabbertMissouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert will enter the 2011 NFL Draft, skipping his senior season with the Tigers. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound junior announced his decision Monday.

"This is definitely a bittersweet day for me," Gabbert said in a statement, according to The Kansas City Star. "I was really looking forward to having a chance to do some special things next season with my teammates, but in the end, this is the right decision to make for myself and my family.

"These last three years have been an unbelievable experience for me, and I'll miss being at Mizzou, but I'm definitely looking forward to this next stage of my life. I'm so grateful to have been part of such a great program and all of the people who have helped me get to this point."

Gabbert closed out his college career with a disappointing 27-24 loss to Iowa in the Insight Bowl. Gabbert threw for 434 yards on 41-of-57 passing in that game, but also tossed a game-changing interception late -- Iowa's Micah Hyde returned that pick 72 yards for a touchdown to turn a 24-20 Missouri lead into a Hawkeyes victory.
