Todd Haley Apologizes for Postgame Handshake Snub of Josh McDaniels

Chiefs' Head Coach Todd Haley publicly apologized Monday for refusing to shake Denver Head Coach Josh McDaniels' hand after Kansas City's 49-29 loss to the Broncos the day before.

"'I do believe in doing what's right and that was not right,'' Haley said at his news conference Monday, the day after his post-game snub of McDaniels. ''I probably let the emotions of the situation get me too much. I apologize to the fans and to Denver and to Josh. It's necessary to let everybody know that I would do that over again at the end, and that it wasn't the right thing to do.''

Far from the traditional post-game gesture of sportsmanship, Haley was seen on video and photographs on Sunday ignoring McDaniels' extended hand and instead pointing a finger in his face and delivering some sort of verbal scolding.
