LeBron James left the floor in a preseason game against the against CSKA Moscow on.
After a pair of free throws with just under four minutes left in the third quarter, James began limping and grabbing the back of his right leg.
"I'm fine," said James. "I can be ready to play the next game if I needed to play."
The team said he was having a muscle cramp. He will travel with the Heat to New Orleans but will not play Wednesday, a rest the two-time reigning MVP revealed postgame was Miami's plan even before the cramping issue.
James left the game with 22 points.
In other Heat injury news, a week after tweaking his right hamstring while coming around a pick in the preseason opener, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said the Heat star is improving but there is still no timetable for his return.
"Dwyane is making progress; he's virtually pain-free now to the touch. It'll be day to day but we are not going to rush it," Spoelstra told ESPN.
