The Atlanta cornerback Brent Grimes was a game-changer Sunday in Seattle and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his work in the Falcons' 34-18 win over the Seahawks. In the charged up atmosphere of Qwest Field, Grimes sucked the life out of the Seahawks with two third quarter plays. He intercepted a pass from Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck on the Seahawks second possession of the third period and returned it 11 yards to the Seattle 48-yard line.
That set up a 25-yard field goal by Matt Bryant that gave Atlanta a 27-10 lead.
